After landing two top Illinois players, Mario Cristobal and Bret Bielema have an interesting exchange

Over the weekend, Mario Cristobal and Bret Bielema took part in an interesting exchange over social media.

St. Ignatius HS defensive lineman Justin Scott, the recipient of a 5-star rating from 247, and four-star Kenwood Academy Edge player Marquise Lightfoot, who rank 3rd and 6th respectively nationally at their positions, both have pledged to play for the Cristobal and the Hurricanes.

Bielema clearly seems not happy about Miami coming into his state to land two of the top players in Illinois.

While Cristobal didn’t respond directly to that Repost, his rebuttal was a clear clapback we would have called a “subtweet” back in the Twitter days.
