Analysis: Inside ASU’s stunning addition of Jayden Quaintance, Bobby Hurley’s NIL push

Bobby Hurley shocked the college basketball world on Monday when he reeled in the highest-ranked commitment in Arizona State basketball history. 

Five-star recruit Jayden Quaintance, a 6-foot-9 senior center out of Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh, N.C., who was the highest-ranked unpledged prospect in the 2024 class at No. 8 overall and No. 2 at the center position, committed to the Sun Devils following a weekend official visit to the school. He was previously signed to Kentucky but got out of his National Letter of Intent after John Calipari moved on to Arkansas.
