Burden, Cook ink NIL deals before season opener
Missouri junior wide receiver Luther Burden III and senior quarterback Brady Cook are just a few days away from the season opener against Murray State at 7 p.m. Thursday. Before the pair step under the bright lights of Memorial Stadium in front of a roaring Mizzou crowd, they made their presences felt on social media with the announcement of new NIL partnerships.
Burden, who recently made the Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Team, appeared in promotional material for Nautica’s fall campaign alongside LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne on Aug. 20. Nautica — an apparel brand — named Burden and Dunne as “New Legends for Fall 24” in a series of advertisements that showcase the two SEC athletes posing in a locker room and on a football field in back-to-school themed outfits. The apparel featured in the campaign can be purchased from Macy’s or Nautica directly.
