Peterson: Iowa State boosters create the ‘We Will’ collective to help compete in NIL landscape

When asked last January if he’d be part of a “collective” aimed at helping Iowa State retain student-athletes in this new era of name, image and likeness compensation, former football coach Dan McCarney unsurprisingly answered like this:

“I didn’t just gladly say yes,” one of the most popular coaches in the history of Iowa State athletics recalled Saturday. “I said, ‘Hell yes.’”
