University of Oregon president Michael Schill characterized the NCAA’s recently issued guidance pertaining to name, image and likeness (NIL) as “hopelessly vague” and added it “left open a lot of questions,” but said it was nevertheless enacted.

The chair of the Pac-12′s board of presidents and a voting member of the NCAA’s Board of Governors and Division I Board of Directors, which issued the guidance on May 9, Schill said he has concerns about “arbitrary enforcement” of NCAA rules.
