Maryland and Illinois Become the 24th and 25th State to Allow NIL at the High School Level

This week two more states joined the growing list of states permitting Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities at the high school level. Both the Maryland Public School Athletic Association (MPSSAA) and the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) have updated their bylaws to now allow student-athletes to participate in NIL deals and endorsements. Both states restrict student-athletes the use of school and/or state association logos, marks, or facilities in any promotional activity or endorsement deal.
