Nebraska football: Dylan Raiola details NIL in recruitment, impact

Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola was not involved with aspects of his recruitment outside of the football, specifically NIL, prior to his flip from Georgia to the Huskers. Raiola, the No. 2 quarterback in the country and seventh-best player overall recruit, commanded heavy attention.

“People do it different ways, come at you different ways. But for me, I didn’t handle that stuff,” Raiola said on Bussin’ with the Boys podcast. “My parents handled it. My marketing team handled it, so I’m grateful for that. I didn’t want to deal with that. You guys handle that. I’ll play football.”

The Raiola family has always been close to the Nebraska football program. His father, Dominic Raiola, played center for the Huskers and his uncle, Donovan Raiola, is Nebraska’s offensive line coach. While he was committed to the Bulldogs and playing his senior year of high school football in Buford, Ga., the Huskers remained in contact with the family.
